You will be responsible for architecting and executing a strategy to meet the needs of all key business areas and build an industry leading data environment.

What you get to do every day

  • Determine what is needed for our business to have a world class data environment and then build it
  • Write, configure, deploy, and maintain the tools needed to deliver clean data, faster
  • Partner with analytics team to understand the current use cases and supply clean and consistent data models
  • Work with engineering teams across the company to improve data tracking and enable a data driven organization culture
  • Build consistent data models that act as the source of truth for all metrics within the company
  • Build, deploy and maintain ELTs to pull data out to all third party systems such as salesforce or email automation systems
  • Partner with product and operations teams to drive efficiency by automating manual tasks

What you bring to the role

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience building and maintaining production data pipelines, databases or web applications
  • 2+ years experience using modern data stack (Snowflake, dbt, Airflow preferred) as well as building and deploying services on cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
  • Strong SQL and Python skills
  • Expert at data modeling and query optimization techniques
  • Experience building ELTs against various sources, including REST endpoints 
  • Experience with dev ops tools like CircleCI, Terraform, Git, Gitlab CI etc. and container technologies like Docker, Kubernetes etc.
  • Proactive mindset - keep an eye out for anything that can be improved, and help us get there
  • Enjoy mentoring other engineers and analysts and deeply review their code
  • Systems thinker: you can take a business objective, and break it down logical components
  • Top notch communication skills. You can communicate well with engineers and non-engineers alike

Compensation - The salary range target for the role seniority described in this job description is $150,000 - $180,000. Final offer amounts depend on multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, geographic location, compensation/equity mix, and market data. This position may also be eligible for additional incentives such as equity awards, short-term incentives, or sales compensation.
